Virtually all the documents submitted with claims fall in the category of “proof-of-ownership.” For businesses, the Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and a photo ID for the authorized claimant are required. For individuals, a photo ID and Social Security numbers are required.
We will only use this private information to support the clients’ claims. Other than being submitted with the claim documents, this private information will never leave our office. Importantly, if you wish, we can arrange to have all the claim documents submitted without you every having to reveal your Social Security number to us. It takes a little longer, but gives you 100% security.
